Reports in The News Pakistan suggest that PCB is trying to do away with bio-bubble guidelines, taking a leaf out of BCCI’s book. Previously, it was reported that the BCCI has decided not to implement bio-bubble rules for two upcoming domestic tournaments – U19 Cooch Behar Trophy knockouts and Women’s Senior T20 Trophy.
PCB has taken it a notch higher by trying to implement it in an international series. According to the propositions, the players will be free to interact with each other and there will not be regular COVID-19 tests. Tests will only be carried out if someone shows symptoms of having contracted the virus. To implement these plans, however, PCB will need the approval of Cricket West Indies (CWI).
