Babar Azam led Pakistan followed the 63 runs win in the opening fixture with a 9-run win in the second T20I to seal the three-match series. The visitors were slightly better in comparison to the 1st T20I but ended on the opposite side of the winning line against some exceptional bowling from Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi.
With Babar Azam slightly out of form, the likes of Mohammad Rizwan, Haider Ali, Fakhar Zaman will once again have to share the responsibility of taking their side to a good total. M Rizwan and Haider Ali have been the two consistent run-scorer for the hosts in the series so far.
In the bowling department, M Wasim Jnr, M Nawaz, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Afridi will be the biggest threat for the visitors. Wasim Jnr was outstanding in the opening game while Shaheen Shah Afridi turned out to be the game-changer in the second game.
For the visitors, batting has been the main issue. They failed to get off to a solid start in both games and once again onus will be on Shai Hope and Brandon King to lay a good foundation. Skipper Nicholas Pooran hasn’t fired in the two games played so far and it’s high time for him also to lead from the front.
