PAK vs NZ: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is not a happy man. To note, Babar was left disappointed after the Pakistan Cricket Board Selection Committee headed by interim chief Shahid Afridi is taking all the shots in selecting the Men in Green ODI squad slated to take on NewZealand next month. However, Afridi is paying no heed to Babar’s disappointment as he named Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail — to the list of probables for the three-match ODI series against NewZealand. “We have added Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail to the NZ probables list after they passed their fitness tests today. The two are also playing Pakistan Cup and doing well,” Afridi said on his social media sharing photos of players’ fitness tests.
As per reports, Babar who had a big say in selection during the Ramiz Raza-era has now very less say in picking the squads. He was in fact unaware of the ODI squad probables picked by the PCB Interim Selection Committee, headed by Shahid Afridi.
Meanwhile Babar Azam has tried to deny any rift between the two. After the end of the 1st Test, Azam shrugged off rumours saying that his focus was on cricket.
