PAK vs NZ Rescheduled: Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday announced the revised schedule for next month’s limited-overs cricket series ( 5 T20s and 5 ODIs) against New Zealand. Because of expected elections in Punjab province, the matches will be played at only 3 venues. First three matches in Lahore, next three in Rawalpindi and last four in Karachi.

New Zealand recently toured Pakistan from 26th December 2022 to 13th January for a 2 match test series and 3 ODIs. While the test matches ended in a draw, the ODIs resulted in a 2-1 victory for New Zealand. Pakistan won the 1st ODI but New Zealand fought back to win the series and ended the tour with success. This series is being played as a preparation for the ODI World Cup 2023, that is to take place in India.
The 1st ODI has also been pushed back by one day and will now start in Lahore on April 14 instead of Karachi.
Two of the three venues for the series, Lahore and Rawalpindi are in Punjab, where elections are likely to be held from April 30.
“The two boards have unanimously agreed to make tweaks to the five Twenty20 internationals and as many one-day internationals,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a press release.
The teams will start in Lahore, playing three T20s from April 14-17 before travelling to Rawalpindi, which will host the remaining two T20s and the first two ODIs from April 20-26.
Karachi will host the remaining four ODIs from April 30 to May 7.
