In what is a rare occurrence in a cricket field, Hail storm covered the entire field with white crystals. The Pindi Cricket Stadium appearaed as if it was fully covered with a white carpet. The spectators and the groundsmen had to duck for cover to evade the hard crystals pouring down.
The hailstorm is something that was unexpected especially during the summer season in Pakistan. It evoked a mixed response from the fans as while they were excited to see something unusual, they also were disappointed to miss out witnessing the full cricket action.

Earlier, Babar Azam won the toss and opted to bowl first in the fourth T20I. Pakistan left-arm spinner Imad Wasim rattled New Zealand early with three quick wickets. Wasim was introduced early in the attack in the powerplay and he went on to dismiss Tom Latham, Will Young and Daryl Mitchell.
Chad Bowes fought back from the other end. He went on to score his maiden fifty in International cricket. Bowes scored 54 before he was dismissed. Mark Chapman then went on to slam his fifty. He was unbeaten on 71 before rain stopped play.
With the washout, Pakistan lead the five-match series 2-1 after winning the first two matches by 88 and 38 runs while New Zealand took the third by four runs — all in Lahore.
