In their last T20I series against Afghanistan, Pakistan did fare well under new captain Shadab Khan and the youngest team they have ever played in their T20I history. They eventually lost to a much more experienced side led by Rashid Khan 2-1 in the UAE. Pakistan now see the return of their three premier players, captain Babar Azam, wicket-keeper/opener Mohammad Rizwan and left-arm spear head Shaheen Afridi.
New Zealand on the other hand are coming off a comeback series win over Sri Lanka. They beat the Lankan’s 2-1 in their three match T20I series at home earlier this month. The Kiwi’s are missing some star power due to injury and the the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) season. But, they have some great fight with a mixture of talented youngsters and experienced campaigners in their squad.
