Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that the PAK vs ENG series will be held in Pakistan and will not be moved out. His clarification comes after England complained of being unable to pick their side due to uncertainty over Pakistan hosting the tournament. Reports of the series being shifted outside Pakistan did rounds earlier, citing the ongoing renovation works in majority of the stadiums in the country.
Pakistan confirm they will host PAK vs ENG series
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, the PCB chairman confirmed that Rawalpindi and Multan will host the Test series against England. It is pertinent to point out that the stadiums in Lahore and Karachi are undergoing renovation works ahead of the Champions Trophy in 2025.
“The home Test series against England will be held in Multan and Rawalpindi,” Naqvi said.
He added that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was satisfied with the decision after Pakistan reached out to them regarding the move.

The three-match PAK vs BAN Test series is scheduled to be held between October 7 to 28. Earlier, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Multan were named the venues for the matches. However, the renovation work at the stadium in Karachi has forced the 2nd Test to be moved back to either Rawalpindi or Multan, something similar to what had happened in PAK vs BAN 2nd Test.
“We don’t really know what’s happening in Pakistan but we can’t select a team until we know where we are going to play. It would be nice if, over the next couple of days, we found out,” England head coach Brendon McCullum had said earlier.
