Pakistan England 7th T20 Highlights: Batting first, England got off to a steady start with both Alex Hales and Phil Salt starts but failed to convert it into a big score. Dawid Malan walked in towards the end of the powerplay and looked instantly in top form as he picked the gaps at ease. With Ben Duckett for company, England kept the scoreboard ticking.
Duckett was particularly aggressive as he picked up 30 off just 19 balls before being run out, ending a 54-run stand with Malan. Just when it seemed Pakistan had found an opening, Harry Brook closed the door on them with a stunning assault.
The left-right pair of Brook and Malan set up a century stand to take England past 200 in the series decider. Malan reached his first fifty of the series, eventually managing an unbeaten 78. Harry Brook also remained not out on 46 off just 31 balls to set a 210-target for Pakistan.
In response, Pakistan were pegged back early as Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam were dismissed in the first two overs of the chase. Iftikhar Ahmed also did not last long as the hosts slipped to 33/3 in no time.
Shan Masood kept the scoreboard ticking along with Khushdil Shah but the rising run rate eventually saw the latter try to go for a huge hit and lose his wicket. The likes of Asif Ali and Mohammad Nawaz also failed to chip in as Pakistan slipped further into an abyss.
Masood meanwhile earmarked his credentials as middle-order batsman with yet another half-century in a losing cause. The hosts could only manage 142/8 in response, helping England to a 67-run win. The visitors thus clinched the 7-match series 4-3.
