England favorites in PAK vs ENG Test series?

Pakistan are not having a great run in home Tests as they recently lost 0-2 against Bangladesh, who registered their both their maiden Test and series win against the Asian rivals. Pakistan have now played ten consecutive Tests on their home soil without registering a win having lost six matches and drawn four.

Their last victory at home came against South Africa in February, 2021 in Rawalpindi.  Furthermore, they’ve lost their last five Tests against Australia (0-3) and Bangladesh (0-2) and their last win in the longest format came against Sri Lanka in July 2023 where they won the series by 2-0.

Pakistan also don’t have good memories of facing England at home as they were whitewashed 0-3, the last time they faced them in December 2022 which was their first series whitewash at home. England have won the last two Test series played between the two nations and also have an upper hand in head to head records in Tests between the two sides.

The Three Lions have won 29 out of the 89 matches against Pakistan while the Asian side have beaten 21 games with 39 games ending in a draw.
