PAK vs BAN: Who is Pakistan’s fast bowler Khurram Shahzad?

Khurram Shahzad rattled the Bangladeshi batting line-up on Day 3 of the PAK vs BAN 2nd Test.

PAK vs BAN: Pakistan’s Khurram Shahzad bowled a breathtaking spell on Day 3 of the PAK vs BAN second Test, leaving the visitors reeling at 26/6 in the first session on Sunday, September 1 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. The speedster was the wrecker in chief who took four wickets in his first spell, while Mir Hamza struck twice to leave the opposition in disarray.

Shahzad was up to the task as he drew first blood for his team in the fourth over of the day as Zakir Hasan flicked him straight to Abrar Ahmed at square leg.

The speedster further shattered Shadnam Islam’s leg stump in the very next over, who missed the line of the ball while trying to flick it on the onside. As a result, both Bangladesh openers were back in the pavilion with 19 runs on the board. Three balls later, Shahzad inflicted more damage as he dismantled captain Najmul Hossain Shanto’s stumps with another marvellous in-swinger.

After a double whammy from Shahzad, Mir Hamza also joined the party from the other end as he made Mominul Haque chip one straight to Mohammad Ali at mid-on to leave Bangladesh in all sorts of trouble at 20/4 after 8.1 overs. Hamza further got a huge scalp by dismissing the first Test’s player of the match winner, Mushfiqur Rahim.
