But Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz had other things in mind. They stitched a 165-run partnership, which cut the trail down massively, and Liton’s imperious 138 helped them end just 12 runs behind. With about 20 minutes left, the visitors returned to bowl, and Hasan Mahmud sent opener Abdullah Shafique and night watchmen Khurram back in the space of 10 balls.
