PAK vs AUS: McGrath’s advice for Warner’s last dance
The fiery pacer urged David Warner to be positive on the field, noting that he had gone back to the ways he played in with the hundred in the 1st Test at Perth. McGrath admitted that it would be great for the southpaw to get a ton in his farewell game in front of his home crowd.
“Go out, be positive,” the legendary quick said when asked of his advice for Warner, as per West Australian.
“We saw him come out and get a good hundred over in Perth, just going back to the way he plays.
“Hopefully he can go out on a high. It’d be great to see him get a hundred here in front of his home crowd.”
Glenn McGrath retired from Tests after Australia 5-0 drubbing at the hands of England in Ashes 2007. Reflecting on what he feared when he was playing, the former pacer said that he was afraid if he was going to walk off the field at the end of the day without backing himself.
