Australia clinched a clinical victory at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) as they thrashed Pakistan by 8 wickets to complete the 3-0 drubbing in the Test series. Having already secured victories at Perth and the MCG, the hosts completely outfoxed a fighting Pakistan in the 3rd PAK vs AUS Test.

Chasing a modest target of 130, the hosts got off to a steady start after losing opener Khawaja for zero runs. Warner, playing his final Test, went on to score his last half-century in the red-ball format, as he was greeted by thunderous applause from the fans in the stands.
Pakistan were bowled out for 110 runs in their 2nd innings, with Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood tormenting the visitors. Young Saim Ayub top-scored for the side in the 2nd innings, with his 33 run knock. Babar Azam and Mohammaad Rizwan – the two dependable batters for the visitors – failed to fire yet again, ending the series on a miserable note, more so for the former.
Josh Hazlewood finished his spell with figures of 4-16 while spinner Lyon finished with figures of 3-36.
