Shaheen Afridi’s triple blow nailed down all chances of a potential West Indies comeback as he bowled an immaculate spell in the final overs. After Mohammed Nawaz and Haris Rauf sent back both Brandon King and Nicholas Pooran, the onus was on Afridi to finish the job and he did so in style.
Bowling the 17th over, Shaheen Afridi first scalped a dangerous-looking Odean Smith, before sending Dominic Drakes and Hayden Walsh Jr back to the pavilion for first-ball ducks in an epic spell of fast bowling.
