PAK beat BAN: Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets in a humdinger to clean sweep the host
Chasing 127 runs target, Pakistan were off to a tidy start as both the openers Babar Azam and M Rizwan added 28 runs inside the powerplay. Aminul Islam then provided the first breakthrough to Bangladesh as he got removed Babar Azam in the 7th over for 19 off 25 balls. M Rizwan and Haider Ali then steadied the run chase and did the bulk of scoring till it came to eight off the final six deliveries.
The final over drama: Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah then decided to bowl the final over and started with a dot ball and picked two wickets off the second and third ball, getting rid of Sarfraz Ahmed and the well-set Haider Ali as the whole stadium got on its feet. Iftikhar Ahmed slammed a six on his first ball but Mahmudullah removed him also in the next delivery. With 2 needed off 1 ball – all three outcomes were possible but Mohammad Nawaz kept his cool and scored a Four off the final ball to help Pakistan get over the line.

Opting to bat first, Bangladesh have managed to post 124/7 with the help of M Naim’s 47 against some quality bowling attack from Pakistan in the third and final T20I here at Dhaka. They once again faced an early blow at the start as Pakistan’s debutant Shahnawaz Dahani removed Najmul Hasan Shanto cheaply in the second over of the innings. Shamim Hossain and Mohammad Naim then steadied the innings but Pakistan kept chipping wickets at regular intervals, not giving Bangladesh any chance to gain momentum. Bangladesh eventually finished at 124/7 with M Naim as the top scorer. Mohammad Wasim and Usman Qadir claimed two wickets each for Pakistan.
