Pacers who have been ruled out of IPL 2025

Before the start of IPL 2025, teams have suffered major setbacks as a few pacers have been ruled out of the tournament.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has not even started, yet several players have already withdrawn from the season due to injuries. Fast bowlers, in particular, are more prone to injuries and often require longer recovery periods, causing them to miss tournaments. In IPL 2025, three pacers have been ruled out due to injuries. Here is the list.

The Indian speedster Umran Malik sustained an injury just a week before the season. KKR had picked him up for INR 75 lakh. Umran, who played just one game in IPL 2024 with Sunrisers Hyderabad, will miss another season.

Lizaad Williams

The South African pacer will miss the upcoming IPL season due to an injury. Mumbai Indians had acquired him for INR 75 lakh at the auction but have now brought in his fellow countryman Corbin Bosch as a replacement. Bosch, who was previously a net bowler for Rajasthan Royals, will join the squad in his place.

Brydon Carse

Brydon Carse has been ruled out of the upcoming IPL season after suffering a toe injury during England’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Australia. The all-rounder, who was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 1 crore at last year’s auction, will be unable to participate. He has been replaced by South African all-rounder Wiaan Mulder, who joins the team for INR 75 lakh.
