The match is set to be played at Oval Ground starting on Wednesday, and the weather forecast for day one of WTC finale does not look that great. It is a bit cloudy and overcast since the morning of Wednesday, with chances of rain predicted in the later part of the day.

Oval Weather Report: Will rain play spoilsport on day one of WTC Final between IND vs AUS?

According to Accu Weather, on day one of IND vs AUS Test there will be a cloud cover of 22 percent, with chance of rain being just one percent. The maximum temperature on June 7 will be 22 degrees Celsius. The forecast throughout the day will be sunny and delightful. But with the current temperature at Oval being overcast, rain might play spoilsport in the latter half of the day.

Dinesh Karthik shared an update about the weather being cloudy at Oval but being better as the day progress. The current temperature in Oval is 12 degrees.

If few overs are lost in the rain, or day one gets completely washed out, the overs could be covered up on day 2 by having extended sessions of play. However, a possibility of a washed-out game on day one seems very remote.

With cloudy weather forecast, toss becomes all the more crucial on day one of WTC Final. With the Oval pitch also aiding proving bounce, both skippers Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma might not be hesitant to bowl first despite the enormity of the final.

However, on days two and three, the Oval surface would be great for batting. As of now, there is no update about the ball turning on days four and five.
