‘Out hai ye pakka’: Arshdeep Singh and Venkatesh Iyer hilariously enact types of appeals in IPL 2024

Bowlers have their own unique style when it comes to appealing for wickets, adding some flair to the game. Some bowlers are all about energy, sprinting down the pitch with their arms wide and their voices booming. Others prefer a more subtle approach, with a raised finger or a quiet nod to the umpire. Ahead of the KKR vs PBKS IPL 2024 game,Arshdeep Singh and Venkatesh Iyer enacted some of the appeals in a fun segment.

In a fun video shared by the Indian Premier League on their website Arshdeep and Venkatesh Iyer showcased the different types of appeals the bowlers make during a game. From the one who is confident that he has scalped a big one to the one who tries to intimidate the umpire into a decision in his favour.

KKR vs PBKS: A highly-contested affair awaits

The Kolkata Knight Riders have won five of their seven games in the IPL 2024. Most recently, they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by one run. Phil Salt hit 48 off 14 balls, while Shreyas Iyer hit 50 off 36, as they scored 222. Andre Russell’s 3 for 25 in three overs added to the total defence. Mitchell Starc almost lost it, but he remained calm in the end.

Punjab Kings are now tenth in the standings, having won only two games and lost six. They have lost numerous close games, most recently to the Gujarat Titans by three wickets. Batting first, Prabhsimran Singh smashed 35 off 21 and Harpreet Brar 29 off 12, but the rest of the team struggled, scoring only 142. Harshal Patel went 3 for 15 and Liam Livingstone went 2 for 19 .
