Bumrah, who is currently representing India in the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka, returned to India to be with his son for the birth and, as a result, he will not be available for Team India’s upcoming match against Nepal. Bumrah is expected to rejoin the Indian squad in preparation for their Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 game against Pakistan, scheduled for the coming Sunday.

In the Saturday clash against Pakistan, Bumrah faced 14 balls, scored 16 runs, but missed his chance to bowl, which disappointed many fans as the heavy rain prevented Pakistan from batting. Consequently, the match was called off, and both teams earned one point each.
