Coming in to bat at number 6, Shastri took just 113 minutes to reach the 200-run mark. He remained unbeaten on scoring the double ton, with Mumbai declaring their 2nd innings after having reached 457 runs. In the course of his innings, he became the second batter after Gay Sobers to smother a bowler for six sixes in an over – the victim being Tilak Raj.
