‘Only thing left in Virat Kohli’s career is to tour Pakistan’: Younis Khan’s bizarre take over CT 2025

Younis Khan's remarks on Virat Kohli comes amid the debate over India's unwillingness to travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025

Another day and another unique reason! Former Pakistan cricketer Younis Khan believes that the only thing ‘left in Virat Kohli’s career is to tour Pakistan and perform’. Khan made these remarks in an attempt to point out why India should travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. India is currently unwilling to travel to the neighbouring country for the tournament that will be hosted in February-March 2025.

Virat Kohli should visit Pakistan: Younis Khan

Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for 2025 Champions Trophy. It is our wish too. I think the only thing left in Virat’s career is to tour Pakistan and perform,” Younis Khan to News24.

India last traveled to Pakistan in 2008 for the Men’s Asia Cup following which geopolitical tensions forced the former to boycott touring Pakistan. Since then, the two sides have only met at bilateral series in India or at ICC events around the globe.

PCB put ball in ICC’s court to convince BCCI

According to the Champions Trophy 2025’s draft schedule, India will play all of their matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The same venue where the semifinals and finals would be played.

“It is now up to the ICC how soon they circulate, discuss and finalize the schedule of the Champions Trophy. The PCB for its part in the draft schedule has suggested hosting all of India’s games in Lahore including a semi-final (if India qualifies) and final,” a PCB insider told PTI.
