Jos Buttler, the opener for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), showered praise on former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni for his aura and fan base during the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Cricket enthusiasts have a huge affection for MS Dhoni due to his high success rate in the sport. He is possibly the greatest Indian captain to have ever played. Under his leadership, Team India won every ICC title at that time, and as a captain, he shared the fifth-most trophies in the IPL.
The 61st IPL match, which takes place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, pits Dhoni and Buttler against one another.
“It’s a privilege to play against MS Dhoni. You ask people what their favourite part of this IPL is, a lot of them will say to watch Dhoni bat. Only he can do that, he’s a massive fan following in India,” said Buttler on Star Sports.
