One Last Time? CSK skipper MS Dhoni begin preparations for Last Dance in IPL 2024

Dhoni had indicated that the IPL 2024 season could be his last following his knee issues during CSK's title-winning campaign last year.

Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni is ready to bow out with a bang. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has started his training for what could be his last cricket tournament, the IPL 2024. A day after visiting the Deori Maa Temple in Jharkhand, the wicketkeeper batter has hit the nets to prepare for CSK’s title defense.

In a post uploaded by cskfansofficial on Instagram, MS Dhoni can be seen going on at full flow in the nets. His training for the upcoming IPL season bodes well for the franchise and their fans, with speculation still going around about his fitness following his knee surgery last year.

The Indian legend was carrying an injury during the last IPL season as well, but decided to motor along regardless. After leading CSK to their fifth title, Dhoni underwent surgery on his right knee.

Following his surgery, the wicketkeeper batter was unable to walk without assistance and had his knee bandaged. However, his knee issues seem to have resolved now that he’s hitting the nets with full intensity and looking to win a record 6th title for his franchise and end his career on a high.
