Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar lauded ‘champion’ Ravichandran Ashwin and congratulated the veteran spinner on completing 500 wickets in Test cricket.
Ashwin picked the wicket of England opener Zak Crawley to reach the special milestone. Notably, the off-spinner is only the second Indian bowler after Anil Kumble to get to 500 Test wickets.
Congratulatory messages soon started flooding on social media. Sachin Tendulkar also hailed the 37-year-old and called him ‘one-in-a-million bowler’.

Ashwin FASTEST Indian bowler to reach 500 Test wickets
Ashwin is quickest Indian bowler and the second fastest overall to take 500 wickets in the history of Test cricket. Ashwin reached the milestone in his 98th Test match for Team India. He is overall the ninth bowler to achieve 500 dismissals.
