At last and officially! Ishan Kishan joins Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2024 camp after snubbing IND vs ENG series

His arrival comes after opting out of the recently concluded India vs England Test series and also the Ranji Trophy.

The Mumbai Indians kicked off their IPL 2024 preparations with a rigorous training session at the CCI grounds. Captain Hardik Pandya, along with several established and upcoming players, sweated it out under the watchful eyes of the coaching staff led by Head Coach Mark Boucher. But all eyes were on returning Ishan Kishan.

Ishan Kishan joins MI camp

Notably, wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, a key member of the Mumbai Indians squad, recently joined the pre-season camp. His arrival comes after opting out of the recently concluded India vs England Test series and also the Ranji Trophy.

Familiar faces and rising stars gear up

The session saw the likes of Shreyas Gopal, Nehal Wadhera, Akash Madhwal, Arjun Tendulkar, and Vishnu Vinod share the nets with seasoned campaigners like Pandya himself. Youngsters like Shivalik Sharma, Naman Dhir, and Anshul Kamboj also showcased their skills, eager to impress the management.

IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians Schedule

The five-time IPL champions will start IPL 2024 with a blockbuster clash.

Their season kicks off on March 24th with a high-profile clash against last year’s finalists, the Gujarat Titans. This match will be played in Ahmedabad, the former home ground of their new captain, Hardik Pandya.

The partial schedule also reveals subsequent fixtures against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Delhi Capitals.
