The incident took place in the 12th over Namibia’s innings. New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi bowled a good length delivery and Namibia’s David Wiese charged down the track to smash the ball hard. And, it came so quickly off Wiese’s bat that Ish Sodhi hardly had any time to react.
Sodhi tried getting out of the way, but unfortunately got struck on the head. While all the Kiwi players walked up to Sodhi to have a check on him including David Wiese who showed a great sportsmanship and didn’t take a run. Soon, the physio ran out to the middle.

Meanwhile, New Zealand received a huge boost in their net run rate after a clinical 52 run victory over Namibia in a Group 2, Super 12 match at Sharjah on Friday. The win helped New Zealand go second above Afghanistan.
