Kane Williamson reached his 26th Test century, helping New Zealand increase their lead to 197 runs on the fourth day of the second Test in Wellington. The former captain, who was 25 (81) overnight, achieved three figures off 226 balls in the 136th over by hitting Stuart Broad for four through deep third man. He and Tom Blundell made England’s bowlers uneasy, assisting the Black Caps in reaching 423 for 5 at tea.

Williamson, on the other hand, continued to play just like he had on the last day, tenaciously fending off England’s attempts and progressively scoring runs.
