With Glenn Maxwell completely off-colour with both bat and ball & Steve Smith not at his best, the Australian batting department is completely reliant on their top order comprising of skipper Aaron Finch, David Warner, and Mitch Marsh.

  • With 236 runs in 6 innings, David Warner is the leading run-scorer for Australia
  • He has slammed two fifties and has a strike rate of 148.42 in T20 WC 2021
  • Aaron Finch is the second leading run-scorer for the Aussies in T20 WC 2021
  • Finch has scored 130 runs in 6 innings at an average of 21.66
  • Mitch Marsh is the next on the list with 108 runs in 4 innings, averaging 36.00
  • Glenn Maxwell & Steve Smith haven’t even managed a tally of 100 runs in the showpiece event so far

However, the biggest threat to Aaron Finch and David Warner is New Zealand’s leg-spinner Ish Sodhi. Sodhi has picked up both Finch and Warner twice in their last three outings against New Zealand.

If the BlackCaps manage to get rid of Australian skipper in the powerplay they have a fair chance to restrict the Aussies to a modest total or else it can be Aaron Finch’s show in Dubai on Sunday.
