Nuts & Boult: Jake Fraser-McGurk writhers in pain after Trent Boult’s strikes the ‘box’

DC vs RR: Painful hit for Jake Fraser-McGurk as Trenth Boult's delivery hits the box, Young Australian writhers in pain

Young Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk suffered a serious blow to his groin area. In the DC vs RR clash, a full length ball from Trent Boult saw the youngster tried to go for a big shot. But the ball misses the bat and goes on to hit him in the box. McGurk couldn’t carry standing as he drops down to the ground withering in pain.

But the young Australian immediately responded hitting a glorious boundary through the covers in the very next delivery. The sheer delivery and the pace of the ball deceived the young batter. He tried to smack the ball over the leg side, missed it completely as the ball went on to hit the unmentionable.

The young batter responded to his pain in style. He also gave it back to the Australian selectors after his T20 World Cup snub. The Delhi Capitals opener today in the absence of Prithvi Shaw hammered a 19 ball fifty to light up the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Jake Fraser-McGurk has been a revelation for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024. In today’s game he slammed 7 fours and 3 sixes batting at a strike rate of 250 to give DC a very good start into the contest against Rajasthan Royals.
