NRK vs ITT Highlights: IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans register their first win of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023 as they beat the Nellai Royal Kings by seven wickets with 10 balls to spare. The bowlers set up things in the first innings before their batters stepped up to chase down 125 in the penultimate over. ITT will look to continue their winning momentum, while NRK will look to bounce back in the next game.
S Radhakrishnan and Tushar Raheja got the Tamizhans off to a fantastic start in the chase of 125. Both played some wonderful strokes and took on the Royal Kings in the powerplay. They scored 54 at the end of the first six overs. The Royal Kings bowled well in the middle phase and kept a check on the scoring rate. Radhakrishnan fell on a 30-ball 34.
Raheja looked solid at the crease and played some good shots before getting cleaned up one short of his half-century. Rajendran Vivek played a good cameo of 21 off 13 balls and B Anirudh Sita Ram remained unbeaten on 15 to take the Tamizhans across the line with seven wickets in hand. Ramsingh Sony Yadav and Lakshay Jain S picked up two and one wicket respectively but it wasn’t enough as they failed to defend the total.
