Jasprit Bumrah opts for an unpopular opinion! Decides to choose a fast bowler as the fittest player in Team India and not Virat Kohli

It is not a surprise that Virat Kohli is the fittest cricketer in the Indian Cricket Team. But ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah begs to differ. The veteran speedster however believes that a fast bowler in the team is the fittest in the team. Bumrah’s this response on social media has left the fans divided.

Jasprit Bumrah has named himself as the fittest cricketer in the team. “I know the answer that you are searching for but I would like to say my name because I am a fast bowler,” Bumrah told.

Why did Bumrah choose himself?

“I’ve been playing for a while. Being a fast bowler and playing in this country in the heat takes a lot of requirement. So I’ll always promote fast bowlers and always take their name,” Bumrah added.

Bumrah’s answer however left the internet divided. But the ace speedster went on to explain his decision. He claimed that fast bowlers in the county have to undergo a lot a lot. Furthermore, it is the pacers who take a lot of heat and thus Bumrah is determined to promote fast bowlers in the country. And thus he has chosen a fast bowler as the fittest player in the team.

But it is safe to say that Bumrah has had his fair share of injuries over the years. He went on miss the entire of IPL 2023 with a back stress injury. He further went on to miss the WTC Final and was out for almost a year. Furthermore, Bumrah’s workload management is also high, which gives a hint that he is preserved well from getting injured too often.
