Iyer who was rested for the first 3 matches of the IND vs AUS T20I series found himself at odds length when he squandered his crucial wicket as Aussie debutant Chris Green took a good catch.
Shreyas Iyer was given a rest for 3 matches after the end of the ODI World Cup. He then returned to the side as the vice-captain of the squad. In the IND vs AUS 4th T20I, Iyer replaced young southpaw Tilak Varma to occupy the Number 3 spot in the Indian batting order.
