India vs Pakistan: Chris Gayle – For some, Ashes might be the biggest rivalry, but for Chris Gayle India vs Pakistan is the biggest one. Due to political reasons, these two teams meet only during ICC events and Asia Cup. After the T20 World Cup 2022 clash, India and Pakistan will meet on October 15 in the ODI World Cup 2023. Naturally, like all others, Gayle is looking forward to the mega clash.
“It is going to be the most exciting game of the World Cup. In any World Cup, it is like the final game. We know how the rivalry is. It is just a crazy sold-out game,” Gayle said to PTI.

India vs Pakistan: Players from both teams should demand a lot more money from ICC Chris Gayle
Last time these two met during T20 World Cup 2022, there was a 1.8 Crores viewership on Disney + Hotstar app. Gayle opines that since the INDO-PAK rivalry is the most sought-after match, the players from both teams should demand a lot more money from ICC as the matches are high-paid ones.
“Whenever those teams [India and Pakistan] play, especially in a World Cup, the revenues they generate are humongous. One game can take care of the entire ICC event.”
“Pakistan and India players should demand a lot of money for those games because those games are high-paid TV-wise. I don’t control the board or the ICC. If I was in their position I would want a lot more,” Gayle added.
This will be the eighth time India will face Pakistan in the 50-over World Cup. On seven occasions, India have come on the top. The last time India faced Pakistan in the 50-over World Cup was in 2019. The Men in Blue romped home in style, beating their arch rivals by 89 runs.
