No Virat Kohli in last practice session, likely to miss IND vs BAN warm-up

India Cricket Team unlikely to avail services of Virat Kohli in IND vs BAN warm-up clash as ace batter lands at New York today

The India Cricket Team had an optional practice session today in New York. A lot of the players missed out on this optional session. Only those players who couldn’t train yesterday owing to fatigue were spotted training. Among them, a major missing was ace Indian batter Virat Kohli. Furthermore, all things indicate that Kohli won’t be available tomorrow and this is likely to miss the IND vs BAN warm-up match.

Why no Virat Kohli in India Practice?

Virat Kohli has been a key absence for Team India in the practice sessions. He wasn’t present yesterday and neither is he present today in the optional practice session. The reason for the same is very simple. It is owing to the fact that Kohli is currently landing in New York after a long flight journey from India.

Naturally, the ace Indian batter won’t be rushed to the practice session. And thus is likely to play no part in today’s optional practice.

Will Virat play in IND vs BAN warm-up game?

The ideal answer would be no. The star batter is likely to miss out on the IND vs BAN warm-up game ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. Since Kohli is landing today in New York he would need time to get acclimatised. Furthermore, he would also need to get rid of his fatigue and jet lags.

As a result, it is highly unlikely that Kohli will be a part of the India squad that will play a part in the warm-up match against Bangladesh. The Men in Blue will be playing just a solitary game ahead of the mega tournament. India play Ireland in their opening game on 5th June.
