India have fielded a power packed playing XI for the IND vs SL 1st ODI, with some big names returning to the side after a while

India will start off their ODI campaign with a star studded side in the IND vs SL 1st ODI. The seasoned duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are back in action for the first time after the T20 World Cup. While stars KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are finally back in the blue colour, Rishabh Pant has been left out of the side.

Rohit Sharma returns to take over the opener spot along with Shubman Gill. While Shreyas Iyer is back to batting at the number four position, KL Rahul will have to handle the keeping duties along with the bat. Washington Sundar and Shivam Dube have found themselves spots in the side, continuing to play after featuring in the T20Is.

Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav are India’s spinners while India are going with two frontline pacers in the form of Arshdeep Singh and Siraj. Rishabh Pant and Riyan Parag have been benched for this game.
