No rest for Ishan Kishan after the World Cup. The dependable batter and wicketkeeper will be a regular in the India Cricket Team squad for the India vs Australia T20 series. While the seniors and the veterans will be rested after a long and tough World Cup campaign, it won’t be the case for Ishan Kishan as per The Indian Express.

Suryakumara Yadav too won’t be rested either. He will be entrusted with the duty of leading the team. SKY will lead in the Men in Blue in the absence of Hardik Pandya who picked up an ankle injury during the World Cup. The ligament injury has forced Pandya to miss the remainder of the World Cup along with the IND vs AUS T20 series.

The BCCI is yet to announce the squad for the World Cup and is likely to do so the day after the World Cup final. On the other hand, the Australians have announced their squad midway through the World Cup.

Insidesport

Ishan Kishan featured for India in their opening two matches when he opened the Indian innings alongside skipper Rohit Sharma. Kishan was brought into the Playing XI as a replacement for Shubman Gill who was suffering from dengue. When Gill became fit and featured against Pakistan, Ishan was dropped to the bench.

But Ishan Kishan has been a regular 12th Man for the Men in Blue, occasionally coming into the field as a replacement fielder for his side. But now that the World Cup is ending, Ishan Kishan will get his much-needed playing time as he won’t be rested and will feature in the five matches against the Men in Yellow.
