Mayank Yadav injury: Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav set miss action for a week with abdominal soreness

The blow for Lucknow Super Giants continue. Ace speedster Mayank Yadav is ruled out for at least a week in in the ongoing IPL 2024. He was sent for scans and has suffered soreness on his lower abdomen area. As a result, the young gun will go on to miss vital clashes against Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders.

“Mayank felt soreness in lower abdominal area and as a precaution we are managing his work load over next week. We hope to see him soon in the field,” CEO of Lucknow Super Giants Colonel Vinod Bisht said.

Mayank Yadav to Miss 2 crucial games

Mayank Yadav bowled just a solitary over against Gujarat Titans in the LSG vs GT clash. He soon left the field and didn’t bowl another ball with a side strain. But today after scans it was determined that the youngster has suffered soreness on his lower abdomen.

This is now bad news for LSG. The Lucknow outfits will now focus on workload management for the speed rocket. He will be rested for the next 2 games against DC and KKR.
