No Kohli, Iyer out as India Squad announced for remaining England Tests

The participation of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team.

India vs England Test series: The BCCI Selection Committee has finally released India squad for the remainder of the IND vs ENG Test series. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer will be missing the last 3 England matches. While Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul are included for the series but their participation is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team.

Squad: Rohit Sharma (C), Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KS Bharat (WK), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, Akash Deep.

The participation of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team.

The major doubts regarding Virat Kohli’s have also been addressed. The star batter doesn’t return to India’s setup. In the first two games of the series, Kohli opted out citing personal reasons. Reports claim that the batter is currently in UK with his wife, expecting the birth of his second child.

Despite his exploits in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, Cheteshwar Pujara has been ignored again. On the other hand Jasprit Bumrah has not been rested for the next match. Mohammed Siraj who missed the Vizag Test makes a return to the team.

Shreyas Iyer’s precarious conditions continue. The middle order batter complained of a back spasm and groin injury. However, the NCA medical team gave him clearance to be a part of the series.
