In the first match of the IND vs AUS U-19 series, the hosts had won by seven wickets, while chasing 185.

The Indian U-19 team under the leadership of Mohamed Amaan continued, as they beat the visiting Australian side by 9 wickets, in Puducherry on Monday. In yet another comprehensive performance, the India colts did not give any room to the visiting side — by first bundling them out for 176, and then chasing down the target in only 22 overs. This means, the Indian U-19 side registered their second win on the trot, to lead the three-match ODI series 2-0.

It all started well for India as the Aussies batted first. Samarth Nagaraj, Mohammed Enaan, and Kiran Chormale picked up two wickets each to push the visitors on the backfoot. Wicket-keeper batsman Abhigyan Kundu also responded well with 50-ball 53, to take India home. Meanwhile, Harry Hoekstra was the best bowler for the Aussie side, who picked up the only wicket.

Samit Dravid Yet to Get a Chance

On the other hand, there was disappointment for fans who were waiting to see Rahul Dravid’s son, Samit in action. Despite being in the squad, he has missed the first two matches of the series and continues to warm the bench. Now, India plays the next match on September 26, while the Test series between the two sides starts on September 30.
