With T20 World Cup 2024 just a couple of days away, the excitement has been over the roof. With the tournament kicking off on 2nd June in the USA and West Indies, a lot of fans will have to rely on the live telecasts to enjoy watching their favourite team play. However, the tournament will not have a live telecast in Australia, with the only way to watch it will be on Amazon Prime Video.
Australia will kick off their campaign against Oman on the 6th of June, preparing to face defending champions England on the 8th. They will play their remaining two games against Namibia and Scotland on the 11th and 15th respectively.
How to watch T20 World Cup Live in Australia
With Prime Video holding the live streaming rights of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Australia, fans will have to subscribe for one to watch their team in action. The Prime Video app is compatible with most Smart TVs, streaming media devices such as Apple TV and Google TV, laptops or Windows PCs, gaming consoles, and tablets.
A new membership includes a 30-day free trial and costs $9.99/month, or $79/year if paid annually. However, an Amazon Prime subscription includes access to Prime Video.
While Prime Video will show all the 55 matches of the tournament, the warm-up games are not included in the roster. Only the India vs Bangladesh game on 1st June will be telecasted live. However, it will provide commentary in both English and Hindi.

Steve Smith, Ricky Ponting, Aaron Finch, Matthew Hayden, Tom Moody, Mel Jones and Lisa Sthalekar are all part of the panel for the world feed.
Ravi Shastri and England’s Nasser Hussain as well as Ian Smith, Harsha Bhogle and Ian Bishop lead a more than 40-strong team of commentators.
How to watch T20 World Cup in India
In India, the Star Sports Network claimed the broadcasting rights for the tournament, with the T20 World Cup being telecasted on various channels in the Star Sports network. However, the OTT site Disney+ Hotstar is set to livestream the tournament for free.
