The moment stirred discussions on social media, with fans debating whether the send-off was in poor taste. Fascinatingly, it might cut LSG’s Fairplay points in IPL 2025, where LSG are currently fourth on the table with 10.00 average points per game. Regardless, LSG seemed unbothered by the “no fair play” chatter.
Arya, who struggled for timing and eventually fell for 8 off 9 balls, didn’t respond to the gesture, walking off quietly. The incident may not have cost Punjab the game, but it certainly added spice to an otherwise routine dismissal.
