Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a decent outing in the last concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The Red Army finished fourth in the points table but their dreams of lifting the trophy were shattered in the playoffs. There are also rumours of KL Rahul joining the RCB and given his captaincy record with LSG, Rahul might also be the captain of Bengaluru in IPL 2025.
Speaking of Cameron Green, the all-rounder was purchased at a heavy cost but has not shown his true potential for the Red Army. He is likely to be released by RCB in order to increase their purchasing power in the IPL mega auction.
Among the probable RCB retained players, the likes of Virat Kohli, Mohd. Siraj, and Rajat Patidar will surely be retained. On the other hand, Yash Dayal and Will Jacks had a good outing in the IPL 2024, which might help them retain their contracts.
