BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has revealed that no decision has been taken on the IPL 2024 venue, and discussions with the Indian Government are still ongoing.
In an exclusive chat with Insidesport, Rajeev Shukla confirmed that the final decision on whether to shift the IPL 2024 or not will be made after discussions with the government.
“Discussions are ongoing with the Indian government and the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding whether the IPL will be shifted or not. Confirmation can only be made after these discussions”, Rajeev Shukla told Insidesport.

The former IPL Chairman also confirmed that Bengaluru and Delhi will host the WPL games for the upcoming season.
“Preparations are underway for the IPL and the WPL. Half of the matches in the WPL will take place in Bangalore, and the other half in Delhi”, the BCCI VP added.
Notably, the biggest T20 tournament, likely to begin on March 22, will coincide with the general election. Therefore, the BCCI is planning to shift this year’s tournament outside India.
