The Ireland cricket team had the last laugh after managing to get five runs off a single delivery despite the Zimbabwe fielder managing to stop a boundary. The incident occurred in the 18th over of Ireland’s second innings in the one-off Test between IRE and ZIM in Belfast.

McBrine, the Ireland batter on the crease when the incident occurred, attempted to drive away Richard Ngarava’s third delivery of the over. The fielder, Tendai Chatara, managed to chase the ball all the way to the boundary to push the ball back right in time.
However, his efforts went in vain as the batters continued to run between the wickets and copped up five runs while Zimbabwe fielders were still finding ways to bring the ball back to the middle.

Ireland picked up their second Test win after beating Zimbabwe by four wickets. The game, which was going down to the wire, saw both sides engage in a fierce battle. While Zimbabwe managed 210 runs in their first innings, the Irish responded with a 250-run total.
The visitors fell short of the 200-run mark in the 2nd innings, with the hosts wrapping them up for just 197 runs. Ireland chased down the target in the 4th innings. thanks to half-centuries from Lorcan Tucker (56) and Andy McBrine (55*).
