NewZealand Squad for India: New Zealand pacer Adam Milne has been dropped from New Zealands’ white-ball teams for the upcoming series in Pakistan and India due to concerns about his fitness. During the most recent series against India, the speedster pulled his hamstring, delaying his comeback to the Wellington Firebirds and keeping him out of two Ford Trophy games in December. Blair Tickner, who is already in Pakistan with the New Zealand Test team, took over for Milne. Follow IND vs NZ LIVE updates with InsideSport.IN

Although Milne played for the Firebirds in the first two games of the Super Smash, the 30-year-old would be too risky to play six ODIs in 16 days in Pakistan and India. It was not an easy choice, according to New Zealand selector Gavin Larsen.
“Adam was very up front with us about his concerns around the lack of one-day bowling loading for the upcoming tours,” Larsen said. After chatting to him, we agreed his preparation leading into the tour would not be sufficient for him to cope with the demands of back-to-back, three-game ODI series. We appreciate his honesty and his genuine desire not to let the team down.”
For the duration of the home summer, Milne will continue to play whenever he is available for the Wellington Firebirds.
“Blair’s skills at bowling through the middle and his ability to hit the pitch hard make him a similar prospect to what Adam offered us. The fact he is already in Pakistan experiencing the conditions is an added bonus,” Larsen said.
Between January 9 and 13, New Zealand will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against Pakistan before departing for India to play a three-match ODI series from January 18 to 24.
