India cricket team’s new head coach Gautam Gambhir will meet chief selector Ajit Agarkar next week to pick the squads for the white-ball series against Sri Lanka. The series against the neighbours will be the first assignment for the former World Cup winning star as he takes over the reins from Rahul Dravid. The three-match ODI and T20I series is scheduled to commence from July 26 onwards.

As per Hindustan Times, the new head coach and the chief selector will meet to discuss and pick the squads for the ODI and T20I series next week. The report states that Hardik Pandya is likely to be named the T20I skipper while the seasoned duo of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will return to the ODI setup.
