Two-time IPL Champions Kolkata Knight Riders are gearing up for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League. KKR have already started their practice ahead of IPL 2024 and was graced by a surprise guest during their second practice match at Eden Gardens.
KKR played an intrasquad practice match amongst themselves as they geared up for the season. In a pleasant surprise, Former England captain Andrew Flintoff was seen watching the match from the sidelines and exchanging pleasantries with the KKR team management. He even engaged in a heartfelt conversation with KKR Mentor Gautam Gambhir during the match.
However, Flintoff attending the KKR Practice has sparked up quite some rumours. While it is yet to be known if Flintoff was there just to watch the game, it has been suggested that Flintoff might join the coaching contingent as well.

Mitchell Starc joins KKR Practice ahead of IPL 2024
Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc also joined the team ahead of the season. He participated in his first practice session today, bowling with the new ball. During Kolkata Knight Riders’ second warm-up match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday, Starc faced some hits from Rinku Singh at the death.
Starc, who last played in the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014 and 2015, was acquired by KKR ahead of IPL 2018. However, an injury had sidelined him for that season.
The Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise broke the all-time auction record this year by acquiring Starc for a hefty price tag of Rs 24.75 crore.
