For their upcoming IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Lucknow Super Giants have made a notable change from their usual dark blue uniforms to maroon and green attire. The match between KKR and LSG is scheduled for April 14th, commencing at 3:30 PM IST.
This decision arises from LSG’s ownership by the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, who also owns the Indian Super League team Mohun Bagan Super Giant. In a gesture of respect towards the esteemed Kolkata football club, the defending ISL champions, Lucknow management has opted to embrace the maroon and green colours.
Furthermore, there are reports that KL Rahul and his team are likely to attend Mohun Bagan’s ISL Shield decider the following day. However, despite this significant change, fans have had some amusing reactions to the jersey alteration.
