Nepal announce 15-man squad for T20 World Cup, Rohit Paudel to lead side in USA and West Indies

Along with the Netherlands and the other three test-playing countries, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa, Nepal are placed in Group D of the competition.

Nepal’s team for the 2024 T20 World Cup has been announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). In the massive competition that will be played in the West Indies and the USA, regular captain Rohit Paudel will guide the 15-man team.

Hits and misses

Bibek Yadav is not included in the team, but Anil Sah, Sundeep Jora, and Pratish GC are. The team does not include Aarif Sheikh, Binod Bhandari, or Lokesh Bam.

Wait of 10 years end

Along with the Netherlands and the other three test-playing countries, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa, Nepal are placed in Group D of the competition. On June 4, they will take on the Netherlands to begin the tournament.

After a ten-year wait, Nepal is finally going to compete in the T20 World Cup. This is Nepal’s second time competing in the T20 World Cup. Their previous one was in 2014, when it was hosted in Bangladesh. Nepal qualified for the tournament this time around by placing second in the Asia Qualifier. They received a ticket to the main event.
