PAK NED 1st ODI Highlights : Chasing a gigantic 316, the Netherlands had the worst possible start after they were reduced to 24/2 inside five overs. Bas de Leede and Vikramjit Singh resurrected the inning before the former was caught in front by Mohammed Wasim Jr.
At 62/3, veteran Tom Cooper joined Singh and stitched a vital partnership, keeping the hosts in the hunt for a chase. While Vikramjit played anchor, Cooper took the attack to the bowlers to keep the scoreboard ticking. The duo reached their respective half-centuries in a 97-run partnership which culminated with the wicket of Cooper for 63.

Vikramjit soon followed and the game was believed to be done and dusted with the required run rate creeping over 8. However, captain Scott Edwards scored a fighting half-century while Logan van Beek also chipped in with a vital cameo as the Netherlands took the game deep. Pakistan were in spot with the hosts needing 48 from the last four overs, but some fine bowling from Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf saw them over the line.

Earlier, Fakhar Zaman scored a fine century as Pakistan put up a huge 315 on the board. Zaman got off to a slow start with Imam-ul-Haq, before stitching a 168-run stand with Babar Azam. The Pakistan captain got 74 before he was dismissed.

The Netherlands clawed in the game with three quick wickets as Zaman also departed quickly after scoring his ton. Mohammed Rizwan did not last long either as wickets continued to tumble. Khushdil Shah chipped in with a handy cameo but it was Shadab Khan and Agha Salman who took the game away in the final overs. Khan scored an unbeaten 48 off just 28 delivers, while Salman smashed 27 of 16 to help the visitors over the 300-run mark.
